 Dr. Huiras is a 1978 graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa where he obtained a BA in biology. After his undergraduate studies he went on to Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, finishing in 1982. He completed a three year family practice residency and a fellowship in preventative health care at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, after which he spent time is SE Asia working with Cambodian refugees, He has been a partner with Auburn Family Medical Center since 1987. In addition to his medical practice, he has served in a number of roles at Auburn Regional Medical Center, most recently as co-chairman of the Department of Family Practice. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Huiras lives with his wife and two sons in Sumner.
Dr. Huiras performs EGD and vasectomy. He is Chief of Staff-Elect at Auburn Regional Medical Center.
