Michael F. Huiras, MD

Dr. Huiras is a 1978 graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa where he obtained a BA in biology. After his undergraduate studies he went on to Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, finishing in 1982. He completed his three year family practice residency and a fellowship in preventative health care at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, after which he spent time in SE Asia working with Cambodian refugees.

He has been a partner with Auburn Family Medical Center since 1987, practicing with an emphasis on prevention and patient education. In addition to his medical practice, he has served in a number of roles at Auburn Regional Medical Center including Chief of Staff. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Huiras lives with his wife and two sons in Sumner.
